Employment Readiness Program (ERP)
Society for the Blind is very excited to announce the official opening of our Career Development (CDP). The CDP will assist clients to become job ready through the Employment Readiness Program (ERP). This program will instruct clients on interviewing, discussing blindness skills and adaptive technology with a potential employer, appropriate interview attire, provide mock interview opportunities with the Executive Director and how to “sell” themselves during a job interview. Once successfully completed, the client will then transition into full job search with the assistance of a job developer. The CDP will also allow Society for the Blind the ability to train in specific areas per an employer’s needs such as call center and front office.
