Unlike some other telephone news and information services, our reading is done by humans, not computers. This service is provided for individuals who are visually impaired, as well as those who have dyslexia or other disabilities that make reading difficult. Try it today! Call (916) 732-4010.

Volunteers are needed to record local publications. As a volunteer reader, you may read magazines, new articles, advertisements, local events, restaurant reviews, theater listings and more. You will be trained by Access News staff, and can choose to record at the agency during the day, or from your home phone at your convenience. Please call (916) 732-4010 or email to inquire about volunteering for this service.
