SHOPPING GUIDE
Who
we are
The Society's Products For Independence Store is the only
specialized store for blind and low-vision products in 26
northern California counties. For more than 20 years, we've
added quality devices to our inventory, which now exceeds
500 specialty products. Today, we've now become a major
resource for walk-in, Internet, or mail order customers.
We ship throughout the USA and internationally. This catalog
also contains, for the first time, many of the low-vision
devices stocked by the Society's Low Vision Clinic. These
useful optical aids and devices can help you make the most
of your existing vision.
How
can I shop?
We're open for telephone orders Monday through Friday, from
8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Pacific Time (PT). Just call the Society
at (916) 452-8271 and press extension 302. That's the extension
for the store manager, Pat Splinter, who will take your
telephone orders. If you know exactly what you want, you
can even call in the order after-hours, as long as you specify
the item, your credit card number and expiration, and the
shipping address. We accept Visa, Master Card, and American
Express credit cards. Just be sure to leave Pat a telephone
number where she might call you back.
Fax in your order. If you like, simply fax in your order
and be sure to include your credit card number and expiration
date and a day-time phone number. Our fax number is (916)
452-2622.
Mail in your order. We accept personal checks as well as
money orders and your credit cards. Simply send your order
and payment (make checks payable to "Society for the Blind")
